01
What is the difference between Tirzepatide and Semaglutide?
While tirzepatide and semaglutide are both used to help patients with type 2 diabetes and obesity with weight loss and improve cardiovascular outcomes as a result of their weight-related conditions, there are some primary differences between the medications.

The primary differences between these medications are that they are 2 different classes of medications and target slightly different areas of the brain.
By targeting both the GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, tirzepatide is the only medication in its class. Tirzepatide works in different ways than semaglutide by activating both these receptors. On the other hand, Wegovy only targets the GLP-1 receptor agonist but it has been on the market longer than tirzepatide with more research and clinical evidence backing it.
02
How do I get started?
In order to start your program you will need to schedule an initial consultation with us. This can only be done by one of our staff members so go ahead and give us a call or message us!
03
How do I know which program to choose?
Our staff and Nurse Practitioner will try and give you the most information about each of the programs so you can make the best decision for you. You do not have to make a decision until you are ready for your first injection.
04
Are there any side effects associated with these?
The side effects of tirzepatide and semaglutide are similar, likely because they work in a similar manner.
Moderate side effects of tirzepatide and semaglutide can include:
-
constipation or diarrhea
-
upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting
-
headaches
-
abdominal pain
-
fatigue
-
low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
-
nausea
More severe side effects of tirzepatide and semaglutide may include:
-
vision changes
-
allergic reactions

Tell your provider if you are having any of these issues.

Things that can help offset some of these symptoms:
-
Make sure you are getting your protein in EVERYDAY and eating a healthy diet.
-
Take a B vitamin daily or get a B-12 injection on your injection day to curb the nausea.
-
Drink more water, try and get a gallon of water a day.
05
How often do I get these injections?
We follow a weekly injection schedule. Each injection appointment is no more than 15 mins. You cannot do an injection early BUT you are allowed to go only 48 hours over your original injection date (ex: You normally do your injection on Mondays but can’t make it in, you are allowed to get it on either Tuesday or Wednesday but no later than that).
06
How many injections can I take home at a time?
You are allowed to take 2 injections in one appointment. If you are needing more than 2 injections to take home, please give us at least 2 weeks notice and we can give you a max of 4 injections.
What this means?
You can take 2 injections home at one time OR you can get injected the day of your appointment and take one injection home for the following week. This is to make sure we have enough medications for all of our clients.
07
How often do I move up in dosage?
Every client is required to stay on each dosage for at least 4 consecutive injections before going up to a higher one. You will be scheduled a check-in appointment every 4 injections to check your weight and measurements. Our Nurse Practitioner will go over your chart prior to your appointment to make sure you are eligible for a higher dosage.
If you are losing at least 2-3lbs/week, we will not move your dosage up. This is to make sure you get the best results possible. The longer you can stay on a certain dose with optimal results, the better!
08
How often do I meet with the Nurse Practitioner?
You will have your initial meeting with our Nurse Practitioner after you get your blood drawn and your blood work comes back, we will schedule it. If you are coming in with your own blood work results that are current within the last 3 months, then you can meet with the Nurse Practitioner the same day you get your measurements and weight taken.

After that, you will only need to meet with the Nurse Practitioner if you feel like you would like to talk to them again OR if our staff deems you need to be seen due to extreme side effects.
